What it means
ICH70002I is an advance warning. It tells you how many days remain before the password or pass phrase expires. It appears only when the WARNING option on the PASSWORD keyword of SETROPTS is active.
One of its main purposes is to alert batch users that the password coded on their JCL must be changed within that time. This is a warning, not an error.
Typical causes
- The password or pass phrase is inside the warning period before it expires.
- The site has the WARNING option active on the PASSWORD keyword.
- A batch job carries a password on its JCL that is due to expire.
How to fix it
- Change the password or pass phrase before the deadline, through the normal process.
- Update any password coded on JOB statements or in scripts after the change.
- If you cannot change it in time, ask your RACF security administrator how the site handles this, through the normal process.
Example
Illustrative only; names and values are invented.
