What it means
ICH70001I reports the date and time of the user's most recent recorded access. Typical examples are a successful logon or a job submitted under that ID. It is shown only when the INITSTATS option of SETROPTS is active, and it is routed to the user it describes.
On a first logon, or the first logon after a RESUME, the date and time show as asterisks. The site may record only the first logon of each day, so the time shown can be the last recorded access rather than the very latest one. Started tasks do not get this message; IEF695I is shown for them instead.
Typical causes
- A normal successful logon or job submission by that user ID.
- A first logon, or the first logon after a RESUME, shows asterisks instead of a time.
- Some access types, including some APPC work, are not recorded, so the time can look older than it is.
How to fix it
- No action needed.
- If the time looks wrong, remember that only recorded accesses are shown and some access types are not included.
- If the date shows as MALFORMED DATE with a hex value, report it to your RACF administrator.
- For a started task, look for IEF695I in the job log instead.
