MainframeKit

Terms of use

Short version: use the tools freely for your work; do not copy the site.

Using the tools

  • You may use every MainframeKit tool free of charge, for personal or work purposes, as often as you like. No account is needed.
  • What you produce with the tools (decoded records, generated JCL, DFSORT statements, converted values) is yours to use.

What you may not do

  • Copy, republish or redistribute the site, its pages, its design, its source code or its scripts, in whole or in part, including the error-code explanation pages.
  • Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site with automated tools, or use its content to build another site, product, dataset or AI training set. Normal search-engine indexing is welcome.
  • Present the site, or a copy of it, as your own, or use the MainframeKit name to suggest a connection that does not exist.

Linking to any page is welcome. Short quotations with a link back to the page are fine.
