What it means
IRR013I means the password given with the request was wrong. In a batch job it usually ends the job before any step runs. Online applications normally prompt again.
At many sites, repeated wrong tries count towards a password attempt limit and can lead to a revoked ID.
Typical causes
- The password on the JOB statement is wrong or out of date.
- The password was mistyped or the keyboard case was wrong.
- A stored password in a script or tool has not been updated after a change.
How to fix it
- Enter the correct password, or fix the PASSWORD value on the JOB statement.
- Update any saved password in scripts or tools after a password change.
- Do not keep retrying; too many failures can revoke the ID.
- If you do not know the password, ask the help desk to reset it through the normal process.
